To the sounds of jazz and tug-boats, we have spent the summer sweeping clean our Bywater warehouse, and found the key to open a new door for LUCULLUS.
Kerry Moody and Nathan Drewes outside the new Decorations Lucullus Studio with an 18th century French walnut wine door and frame, circa 1750.
(Someone is almost always there!)
Piled up in corners: antiques and curious objects that satisfy instincts for the stylish, the quirky and the essential.
Also, a Studio offering full decorating, design and styling services.
Our Workshop, under the talented stewardship of Jerry Teel, will accept repairs on select fine antiques.
A new website is coming, please look out for it.
Until then our social media will provide updates:
Easy for the adventurous, the intrepid and those clued in to the exuberance of Marigny-Bywater;
But for the demure and timorous, take heart!
Wend your way to Elysian Fields (even Blanche duBois was familiar with that street)
Take Chartres, along the river, over the railroad track (yes the tracks)
Continue along, past the glorious new Crescent Park and several architectural marvels of the 19th century, until you can go no further
Turn left onto Poland Avenue, which is not without charm
Once past the disgraceful, looming ruin of the old Hebert Defense Complex turn right on the first street which is Burgundy
Nose a few yards toward the Industrial Canal,
and there on the corner of Burgundy and Kentucky is Lucullus Antiques & Decorations Lucullus Studio and Workshop!
